If you're reading this and haven't read The Beekeeper's Apprentice by Laurie R. King yet, run, do not walk, to TheBeeIsFree.com for a free eBook. Like mysteries? Like Sherlock Holmes? You'll love this. Don't like mysteries and couldn't care less about Sherlock Holmes? (We need to talk...) Give it a try; it's free!
The book will be free to download starting today, April 1st (No, it's not an April Fool's Day joke!) and remain available until April 15th.
If I were to be marooned on a desert island tomorrow, this is one of the books I would want with me.

Thanks, Ruthie! I've been wondering about this series.
I'm not crazy about ebooks, but I jumped on this one. Thanks for the tip!
What a great idea! Did you post this at Baker Street too?!

I have already downloaded my free copy :)
I am just starting a mystery unit with my 7th graders and we will read a couple of Sherlock Holmes short mysteries. I thought this would be a great recommendation to those who wish to continue reading this same genre over the summer.
Molly, that's wonderful! I owe my eighth grade teacher -- bless the man -- a world of thanks for introducing me to Doyle's work. He assigned "The Red-Headed League" for homework the first week of school and I was immediately hooked.
